Artistic Statement:
There is a lot of pressure as an artists to create work with the intention of making the world a better place. I do believe that is what art does, it opens our eyes, expands our communities, and challenges our sense of empathy and understanding of the world. Art in all forms has the potential to move us, but I do theatre because I really, really, love doing it. I crave to create Good Work. My intention with my practice is to collaborate with artists that share the same goal, to create work that is challenging, exciting, creatively fulfilling, and ultimately Good. We can hope that our work will reach our audience and inspire radical change, but first we need to enjoy creating it. I want to create, I want to act, I want to be.

So in the Summer of 2023 the four of us divided up all production roles. Elise and I were the actors, lighting designers, and I produced. Mady directed, designed and created marketing materials, and became set designer. Rachel became the stage manager and learned how to navigate QLab to create one of the most immersive and detailed sound designs I have ever experienced. Lady Dog’s premier production was not only a success but one of the most fulfilling projects I have ever been a part of. In the Summer of 2025 we tackled our next challenge: site specific theatre. With The Grown Ups by Simon Henriques & Skylar Fox we spent the Summer by the campfire,
